There is a mud that is a very effective clay mask. This gray powder
is derived from volcanic ash, which the Native Americans call “the mud that heals”. When mixed with
water, it becomes sponge-like.
Apply the mask on your skin as a mask. It is effective as the mud contains
negatively charged minerals. This draws to it toxins which are usually positively charged. The
mud has the ability to attract and absorb toxins such as heavy metals and free radicals like a
sponge.

For this natural acne remedy that works,
firstly, cleanse the skin thoroughly taking care to use a 100% natural soap. Be sure always to
use soap or products that are astringent free. Astringents dry out the skin, and this only causes
further blockages. So, take care to not dehydrate the skin.

Secondly, steam open the pores. This can be simply and effectively done at
home. Just pour boiling water into a wide brimmed bowl. Put your head over the bowl with a
tea towel that covers both your head and the bowl like a tent. The idea is to direct the steam
directly to your face. Do this for about 10 minutes, so that the pores are opened and
cleansed. This has the added benefit of softening and hydrating your epidermis. You can add a couple of drops of lavender oil for a lovely
scent and for the healing qualities of lavender oil.

Now you are ready to apply the healing clay. Leave this mask on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with cool, clear
